Hello World
Welcome to my blog!
I didn't think I'd ever start a blog again, but here I am!
I am not here to sell anything. This is merely my own place for my own thoughts. Lately I've been thinking "I should make a diary or blog or something", and now I finally did.
From having a been a netizen since mid 90's, I've seen its evolution since the beginning. I've dabbled with BBS'es, running my own webservers, later on I even did web-related work professionally. Through internet I also connected with people from all over the world and made several life-long friends, created things, learned things, and eventually most of my life was mostly lived online.
In the past, people like me were called "nerds" or "geeks", but with time, everyone became more or less terminally online. Especially since the internet moved into our pockets and into our phones.
Internet suddenly wasn't a "thing" anymore, it was just part of everyone's daily life. But I also think that when that shift happened, our experience of internet also became worse. And this is what I think I want to write about here.
When internet became a mere utility, or automated media slop-machine with corporate control, and about how I try to find a way back to an internet experience I like again.
Stay tuned!
